Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Perched above the Salish Sea on Galiano Island, your spectacular panoramic view immerses you in a tranquil atmosphere with the sights and sound of nature and boats sailing by.
The space
Our beautiful Galiano home is at the North end of the island. It faces south west with a 180deg view off the large deck with views of Wallace Is Secretary Is Salt Spring Is Vancouver Is Kuiper Is. and Thetis Is. It is hard to describe the unbelievable view that regularly has orcas, humpbacks, sea lions, eagles, otters and more coming by. You can easily spend the whole day just hanging out on the deck and forgetting to see the rest of the beautiful Galiano Island.
There is a spacious living room and dining room area with excellent views.
The full kitchen is available with various kitchen gadgets, pots/pans, dishes, wine glasses, blender, toaster, microwave etc. There are spices, olive oil, vinegar etc. in case you forget these. Please ask if there something specific you need as we probably have it that you can use.
The property is 1.5 acres and is quite private. It is a 20min drive to the south of the island where there are markets, dining, cafes, marinas, and more. Hiking nearby and a restaurant at Bodega Ridge Resort is walking distance.
If you like swimming or want to put a kayak in the water, there is a convenient beach access point about 250m to the left of the driveway. It has parking as well.
Unfortunately, no pets are allows as we have a cat that gets anxious when other pets have been around.
You will definitely need a car or bike to get from the ferry dock or float plane dock to get here. It is about a 25min drive (60min bike ride).
As well, in summer, the ferries are quite crowded. If you are coming from Vancouver, you need to make a free reservation on BC ferries website from Tsawassen terminal. From Victoria you will be coming from Schwartz Bay ferry terminal. There are no reservations needed as it usually has space. Arrive early to make sure you can get on.

Please enjoy the upstairs bedrooms with queen sized beds and beautiful views. There is also a middle room upstairs that is comfortable for sitting and reading.
There is a bathroom downstairs with shower along with the kitchen, living room and dining room and patio.
