Summary: Driftwood Village was a pleasant surprise at Mary Ann Point on Galiano Island. We stayed in the Deer Cottage which is just perfect for two people. The cottage was much larger than I expected with a kitchenette and a full-sized bathroom - - which was in excellent condition and extremely tidy. We had our own private parking spot as well as a patio deck with table and chairs. It was the perfect shady nook for a summer day. It’s always better to have a car, but you can reach the property easily on foot. Probably 40-minutes on foot. Beach Site 14 on Galiano offers a stunning view of Active Pass with large ferry boats passing through it - - as well as the possibility of a pod of orcas. We stayed 4 days, but I think we could have enjoyed the cottage for several weeks. They have larger cottages which I also hope to investigate next summer. Heather made our arrival and departure easy. If you are looking for quiet privacy, a cozy cottage, in lovely surroundings, I encourage you to consider Driftwood Village.
