Our beautiful beach house was custom designed to resemble a lighthouse with six sides climbing 3 stories overlooking Shipwreck Point Lighthouse, a working fishing harbour and beautiful white sand beach. The house has been designed with comfort for all in mind, with an outdoor screened room, and multiple living spaces including the main level great room, second level wet bar and sitting area. Head up the spiral staircase to The Lighthouse Cottage cupola and sitting area complete with 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Perfect for couples, multi-generational family groups or two families vacationing together, we hope you will enjoy our Island vacation home near Souris PEI.
Naufrage beach is a short walk and makes for an easy vacation day without cars or schedules. After a day enjoying the white sand beach and ocean breezes head back to the cottage where everyone will be able to enjoy family and friends together or find a quiet space for reading or an after beach snooze! The main level living area with it's gorgeous deep turquoise hue has a sitting area with propane fireplace and large flat screen TV. The dining table seats six comfortably. There is seating for three more at the kitchen island. Outdoor casual dining is also an option with various seating types plus there is a picnic table on the lawn. In the open concept kitchen, the cooks are part of the larger conversation happening throughout the living space. The large kitchen island has loads of storage and is a fantastic prep space for meals. The main level also has one bedroom with queen sized bed and a full bath with tub / shower combination accessible from both the bedroom and living space.
Up the stairs, the second level reveals a comfortable open lounge space with wet bar, chairs, tv and sofa. This space can be converted into a 4th sleeping area when the queen size pullout sofa is used. There are two additional bedrooms on the second level, one with a queen sized bed. The "kids room" has one full sized bed with single bunk over top. It has an entrance to the shared full bathroom with tub / shower combination and awesome views of the lighthouse and ocean. Yes, views not to be missed even from this bathroom!
Finally, climb the spiral staircase up to the lighthouse cottage cupola with 360 degree panoramic views for a drink and a chat with friends and family - or steal away on your own to read a book and enjoy the peaceful sunset or just stare out at the ocean view endlessly!
Greenwich National Park beach and interpretation centre is perhaps the most beautiful north shore beach in PEI and is not generally very busy. Nearby are the shops at St. Peter's, a convince store, land ocal restaurants. It is just a short drive to the town of Souris where you will be able to find everything you need (food, drink, pharmacy). Deep sea fishing charters, sport fishing charters for giant blue fin tuna, golfing The Links at Crowbush, horseback riding and much more are all nearby and easily accessible from our cottage.
