From early spring through to late fall, hikers, boaters and other fun and sun seekers get to enjoy the beautiful mountains, lakes and natural settings in and around St. Ives. In the winter, there is some of BC’s best snowmobiling areas close by in addition to first class snowshoeing, nordic and downhill skiing. On-site amenities include a games room with pool table, shuffleboard, darts, air hockey and board games, all located in the clubhouse where you can purchase treats, gifts and necessities. There are laundry facilities on site for guests plus a dock and buoys for guest boats as well as a 20’ fishing boat for rent. Kayaks, pedal boats and paddleboards are inclusive with your stay so why not try something new or maybe just take a walk, read a book or curl up to a cozy fire.
The North Shuswap is located on one of four arms of the Shuswap Lakes and offers up pristine water and excellent hiking trails with an abundance of beautiful waterfalls. In addition, you will find several wineries, golf courses, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, artisan shops and farmers markets from May through September. During late September into October, the Pacific Sockeye salmon return to their spawning grounds in the nearby Adams River. Every four years, over a million salmon return to spawn displaying a truly spectacular sight. Fishing is always a highlight here as Rainbow trout, Lake trout and Kokanee salmon are abundant and available for fishing year round. During winter and well into spring, there is awesome snowmobiling at Crowsnest Mtn. and world class ski resorts at Sun Peaks in Kamloops or Silver Star in Vernon. You’ll also find many trails for snowshoeing or cross country at Larch Hills, located within an hour of the resort.
